When will phat see the writing on the wall ? Will USADA ‘s report on the “ Armstrong Affair “ cause him to decide “ enough is enough “ ? DOUBTFUL !

A petition has been initiated and NEEDS support and I for one think that it will gain traction and could go VIRAL with YOUR SUPPORT !

My comment , justifying my wish for change : “ Currently the “ UCI “ is being mismanaged by an Irishman who was “ Banned “ from competing at the Olympics through his ignoring IOC requirements in Sport ! The “ UCI “ are holding Elections in September 2013 , where he is seeking re-election . During recent times it has become apparent that there are question marks regarding his conduct and that of Top Management in the running of the “ UCI “ !

 Not only Fee paying Athletes are placing information in the Court of Public Opinion BUT ALSO former members of the “ UCI “! When even colleagues of the Management are calling for change , there must be justification for an inquiry conducted by a third party , such as CAS , WADA or IOC ! The “ UCI “ is supposed to be a Union for the Cyclists but it is trying to be ALL THINGS to All the stakeholders !

When you have Presidents stating in Public that “ THEY DECIDE who will be sanctioned “ , it becomes obvious that there is NOT JUSTICE for ALL ! Truly the only way forward for the “ UCI “ is to take part in an “ AMNESTY FOR ALL SPORTS “ which should be conducted by a commission created by WADA & IOC ! With their Joint efforts they will be able to persuade National Governments to stand back to allow ALL Past & Present Athletes to come forward and reveal their “ Doping Conduct “ without the risk of “ Double Jeopardy “ !

 In a two tier “ Amnesty “ they can reveal on the First tier , their misconduct and those associated with them and then the Second tier can be used by those of the Athlete’s team , who see that their principals has not sought “ Amnesty “ , will to preserve “ Their entitlement “ to “Amnesty “ , declare the circumstances that caused them to be at jeopardy . With the Athletes ( Past & Present ) knowing that they risk “ LIFE TIME BANS “ from ANY form of Sport Worldwide , there can be little doubt that they will act to use the first Tier entry to “ AMNESTY “!

 Those being found out in the Second Tier , will not be able to avoid the “ Double Jeopardy “ and thus risk Government action as well as “ Life TIME BANS “! It will cost YOU nothing but will ADD to the justification for the " VOTING Delegates of " UCI " to VOTE for change in Sept 2013 .  IF we have to wait until then , for LEGAL change by the UCI itself ! PLEASE ALL those involved in Cycling , circulate this petition to ALL your circle of friends , relatives and Cycling Clubs ! ONLY large numbers expressing their disapproval , will convince the Voting Delegates , that they risk losing THEIR place in the UCI if they FAIL TO ACT !

I also noticed his reference to another person in the tweets , that I was aware of in the past years . Last year I had emailed Matt Hampson about “ Parrabuddy “ in connection with my desire to involve others in my attempts to get Para Athletes to the “ Giro & Le Tour “. Matt Hampson , now a member of the Paralympic Movement through a life style change and has perhaps been instrumental in helping many more people than he had in his former life style .

Shamilton in the news !

Well i write Blogs and they get a few people reading , whilst he writes a book and upsets the " Applecart "! I doubt there are many cyclists , that follow Cycle Racing , that are unaware of the book " the secret race ....etc " ?

Over the years that i have been riding the routes of the Grand Tours and Pro World Tours i have met many of the participants both on the bike and at their team facilities . Cycle Racing allows " Jo Public " access to these Racers , part of the reason that makes the Sport so popular . Only at the Tour de France , do they make access more difficult for the Tifosi ( fans ) , and even then there are plenty of opportunities to get close and personal .

Recently Tyler has been in the limelight because of his appearance on TV , and now with the book being aggressively marketed . Several Interviews have been printed and no doubt this story will continue to be front page news until mid October when the USADA say they will present UCI with the report , that has been outstanding since Lance declined to commit further time to the Kangaroo Court , that the USADA call arbitration !

 You are reported to be selling memorabilia , some of the proceeds i gather will go to the " Paul Kimmage ( fagor photo )Defence Fund "! Perhaps the balance could go to the " Wounded Warrior Project " & " Help4Heroes ", these people are TRUE Heroes !

When Christophe Bassons of France and Filippo Simeoni of Italy report to the media that you have Publicly apologised , and they have accepted that Apology , then you will have reached bottom and can draw a line on the past !

Losing Haven and your former life , is a price TOO high for the trivia you gained by your resort to DRUGS ! Too many people followed your example and some have lost their lives by doing so . Hopefully the monies from your book will be used to support a " Foundation " which will HELP DISCOURAGE youngsters from setting out on the path , you chose to follow !

The ball is in your court ! Succeed in a new Career as an " Anti Doping Advocate " or spend the monies on yourself and a lifestyle ! "




RARELY do i suffer the frustration that is inflicted by these type of articles ! Repeated efforts to "post " this comment have failed . Copenhagen is where HTC Team are showing the “ Sponsors “ that they have missed the boat ! Nearly every race has shown the depth of Talent in this team ! That is just the Individual Time Trials thus far and the Road Races are yet to come with speculation that “ Ina “ will win the Ladies and of course “ King Cav “ will win the men’s Elite Race !

Whilst this is going on though the Media is having a feast with the recent revelations timed to perfection so as to maximise their impact ! Started as usual with the French and Italian Media and then was picked up by Cyclingnewsforum on a new thread :

Seems that “ ESPN “ the Us sports channel has got into the act as well , but I have no link for that at this time , guess someone on CNF ( mushroom farmers anonymous ) will put that out in the forum in the near future .

Disturbing for me is that there will be mud flying and “ Livestrong “ will get a bath , which will be unfair to ALL those who have contributed their efforts and monies and believed in the “ Good Work “ that could be done by this foundation ! Lance is reported to have said “ certain things “ whether they are reported correctly and in context or twisted to suit the story , we can only speculate but more questions are emerging as time passes . That Flandis and Shamilton are “ bitter and convicted ex racers “ has been a defence used by those supporting Lance & co but if as suggested there are “ Tax Evasion “ matters and these guys had monies in the scheme that they did not wish to lose caused them to keep quiet is speculation at this time .

Not being in Copenhagen through matters beyond my control is somewhat annoying although the weather in Austria has turned to the good once again and thus am getting plenty of cycling done .
